MIDDLE DALMATIA
Dalmatia includes the coastline from the southern part of the island Pag to Cavtat town. Along the coastline there are a lot of small islands and bigger islands, which are the centre of tourism like Brac, Hvar and Korcula. Quiet villages, historical towns, hidden gulfs and very clean, crystal clear water, make Dalmatia excellent place of holiday.
The capital of central Croatia is Split with a very beautiful old town that you should visit in the night and during the day. The most famous monuments in Split is Dioklecjan Palace built from marble, extracted for the present day from Brac. The other place to visit is cathedral situated next to the palace. For years many palace have been built here but the most beautiful is Papalic Palace. In Split you can also see a lot of other monuments.
From Split you can get to the beautiful islands of Dalmatia like Brac, Hvar, Korcula. The main tourist resorts are Sibenik, Primosten, Trogir. They have very beautiful old towns, with narrow and romantic streets, especially in Primosten and Trogir. Both of this places are situated on the small peninsula. Worth of seeing is also in Trogir wonderful palm alley.
